Quick Notes

Capture a thought in seconds between calls, and know when to say remember instead.

Some days you have ten seconds between calls. You heard something worth keeping and you do not want to lose it.

That is what a quick note is for:

Armbrain, quick note for Copperleaf Bakery Co.: Jordan mentioned a fourth location next spring.
Armbrain, quick note: check the Tidewater Logistics content calendar on Friday.

A quick note is saved as you wrote it, and you can search it right away. It skips the step where Armbrain sorts a note into a decision, a promise or a person.

When to say "remember" instead

Use remember for promises, so they land on your commitment list and show up in prep.
Use remember for decisions and people, so briefs can find them by type.
Use a quick note for loose thoughts, reminders to yourself and things you will sort out later.

Change these first:

CLIENTCOMPANY = Northstar Studio CLIENTCONTACT = Maya Armbrain, remember for CLIENTCOMPANY: CLIENTCONTACT is their marketing lead, and I promised them the spring launch plan by Friday.

Why it works: Because it says remember, the promise goes on your commitment list and your contact is saved as a person, so both show up in your next prep for that client.
