Asana connector

Connect one Asana project to a client mind so Armbrain stays current on its tasks, subtasks, completion state, and optional comments.

Before you connect

Create an Asana Personal Access Token:

  1. Open Asana and go to My settings → Apps → Manage Developer Apps.
  2. Open Personal access tokens and create a token.
  3. Copy the token when Asana shows it. Treat it like a password.

Find the project ID in the project URL. It is the long number after /0/, for example:

https://app.asana.com/0/1200123456789012/list

In that example, the project ID is 1200123456789012.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Connectors in Armbrain HQ.
  2. Choose Asana.
  3. Select the client mind that should receive this project's work.
  4. Paste the Personal Access Token and project ID.
  5. Leave Import task comments off for task-only context, or turn it on to import comment threads too.
  6. Select Continue.

Armbrain validates the token and project before saving anything. The token is encrypted before storage.

What it imports

Every 15 minutes, Armbrain checks the selected project for changed tasks and imports:

Completed tasks are kept and clearly marked COMPLETED so the mind knows what is finished. System activity stories, such as due-date changes, are not imported as comments.

Disconnect

Disconnecting Asana stops future polling for that project. Memories already ingested are retained.
