Every engagement ends eventually - that's the fractional model working as designed. Here's how to close out a client mind without losing the asset you built or paying for something you don't use.
Step 1: Export first, always
You'll get a complete copy - every memory, decision, meeting note, and document. It's yours, forever, free. Store it with your client files.
- Web: hq.armbrain.io > click your client > Settings > Export this client's mind
- Chat: "export the [client] mind"
Step 2: Choose the mind's future
| You want... | Web | Chat | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| To hand the work to the client | hq.armbrain.io > your client > Settings > Export | "Create a handoff package for [client]" | Included |
| A clean, free exit | hq.armbrain.io > your client > Settings > Edit client > Delete client (preview, then type its name to confirm) | "Delete the [client] mind" (type its name to confirm) | $0 - billing stops |
| To keep it warm for a comeback | hq.armbrain.io > your client > Settings > Edit client > Archive | "Archive the [client] mind" | $5/mo |
Step 3: Check your bill
Billing is prorated, so there's no deadline to beat. Deleting a client mind stops billing entirely. Archiving replaces the active-tier charge with the $5/mo archived tier; Stripe creates a credit for unused active-tier time and applies it to an invoice. Your dashboard's billing page shows exactly what's active and archived.
Why archive instead of delete?
Re-engagement. When a past client returns, reactivating an archived mind means your first call sounds like you never left. If that's unlikely, delete - your export means nothing is ever truly lost.
